In 2020, Palabek County in Lamwo District and consisting of 3 Sub-counties decided to increase the number of participating football teams in the peace building tournament to 10 and brought the idea of playing quality matches.
The league was started very well but later suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic following the directive given by the President of Uganda.
It however, resumed in November 2020 and the champions for palabek peace building cup was LEEDS FC then.
Palabek peace building sports association now consists of; Likiliki FC fro patonga parish, palabek Gem subcounty, Dollar FC from labigityang parish, palabek Kal subcounty, Bristal city fc from labigryang Paris, palabek Kal subcounty, Lapala-4 United from lamwo Paris, palabek Kal subcounty, Northern shield FC from Kal ward, palabek Kal subcounty, Leeds FC from Kal ward palabek town council, Obworo home boys from Kal ward palabek town council, Kal united FC from Kal ward palabek town council, Rock star FC from bwomono ward palabek town council and Baama united for labigryang Paris palabek Kal Town council

Northern shield 6:1 Bristal city (Okot Richard 12, 28. Too-okema Ronald 39, ongwech Charles 49, 56. Okot Ronald 64 for northern shield while cal Ronald 35 for bristal city)

Mr lukoya Emmanuel chairperson palabek peace building sports association encouraged all the youth to join there association and use this to uplift there talent.
He also promiseed to promote youth talent through football at national level right from subcounty of which he expects all players to have passions in what they are doing to push somewhere.
Mr Lukoya encourage parents not to only look at paper work/course but they should also help in promoting there children’s talents.
Richard Okot a player for Northern shield who was the goals scorers in latest game played on 25th August 2022 expresses his happiness of being top scorer and man of the match.
Okot promise to balance sports and education to make a bright future and he also appealed to fellows to do the same.
Joel komagum who plays for Dollar fc said he is happy to be in this association because the association is promoting his talent and he expects to be among the national team players.
The major aims for this association is to focus on holistic need of youth and young people in palabek county.
