Hon. Okin PP , a Member of Parliament representing people of Chua West Constituency has donated an Ambulance which he had promised during the campaigning periods in 2021 and was welcomed by a group of boda boda riders in Kitgum Municipality.
Through his personal assistant Mr. Tolit Tonny Blair, the MP rallied the boda boda community operating within Kitgum district to embrace the new ambulance meant to respond to any cases of emergency in all the Sub Counties of Chua west constituency and people of Kitgum at large.
Tonny Blair called for cooperation through the office of the boda boda association and members of Parliament to help communicate and report any health issue in the community.
Chairperson Kitgum municipal boda boda association Mr. Charles Obalim Aling appealed to the member of Parliament to always consider working together and immediate response on cases of road accident which is very rampant.
Aling also thanked Hon Okin for fulfilling his pledge to the people of Chua West and Kitgum at large. He asked the community to make good use of the ambulance to help save lives of the people who may be at risk especially accident victims and those in critical conditions.
Mr. Opwonya Jucky Jakeo, a member of boda boda operating within Kitgum district expressed his gratitude while witnessing the handover of the ambulance. He says this will cover up the gap that was in the district and enhance quick responses to emergencies in the Constituency and beyond.
